Maserati GrandCabrio Criswell Maserati

Maserati has been building luxury four-seat convertibles long enough to know exactly how one should feel. The 2025 Maserati GranCabrio nails the brief: elegant, composed, and quietly charismatic. It’s a proper grand tourer, and in Folgore form, it proves electric convertibles can stir the soul.

Three Powertrain, One Attitude

Two tunes of the twin-turbo Nettuno V6 and a trimotor, fully electric setup make up the lineup. The base V6 is rated for 483 horsepower, 442 pound-feet of torque, a 0-60 time of 3.7 seconds, and a max speed of 188 mph. The Trofeo’s V6 turns it up to 542 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque, slashing 0 to 60 to 3.4 seconds and hitting 196 mph. Both engines feature twin-combustion tech borrowed from Formula 1 race cars.

Then there’s the Folgore. Maserati’s crown jewel claims two big firsts: the first all-electric convertible in the luxury segment and the fastest drop-top on sale. Backed by an 83-kWh battery and three 300-kW permanent magnet motors, this grand tourer delivers a prodigious 751 horsepower, 995 pound-feet of torque, and a 0-60 mph time of just 2.7 seconds. Maserati says the 2025 GranCabrio Folgore can travel up to 229 miles on a single charge.

Top-Tier Touring

The 2025 GranCabrio keeps things classic with its two-door, four-seat layout. It’s got a low hood and sweeping front wings, so it’s easy to place the car on the road. The cabin is draped in high-end materials (like breathable, perforated leather) and elegant finishes, and Maserati has included plenty of amenities throughout, including built-in vents to blow warm air on your neck and an optional wind stopper that protects rear passengers from wind and noise.

The folding top is available in five colors: Black, Blue Marine, Granata, Titan Grey, and Greige. It opens or closes in just 14 seconds at speeds of up to 31 mph.

Infotainment

The GranCabrio spreads everything around four thoughtfully designed screens. There’s the big 12.3-inch main display running on Google Built-In, another 8.8-inch screen just below it for climate and many other functions, a sharp 12.2-inch digital gauge cluster, and the iconic Maserati clock, which is now a stopwatch, compass, and G-Meter all rolled into one. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility are included and work wirelessly.

Award-winning Italian audio tuner Sonus Faber built the 2025 GranCabrio’s audio system. The standard Premium stereo system features 13 speakers and 2D surround, while the optional High Premium upgrades to 16 speakers, 2D and 3D surround, and a powerful 1195-watt amplifier.
